High-Impact Communication Techniques for the Technical Professional

Research shows that most unhappiness in the technical business world comes not from poor technical skills, but from poor communication. Effective communication plays a pivotal role in nearly every aspect of business. Skilled communication impresses colleagues and customers, promotes the effective flow of information, and creates a more harmonious and productive business environment. It also can add to a technical professional’s value and potential for growth within an organization.

Learn a set of communication tools, techniques, and strategies to address difficult communication situations. Instruction covers how to effectively communicate with people whose personality and behavioral styles are different from yours; how to deal with indecision; the key elements of effective and productive meetings, how to better handle negative communication behaviors such as arrogance,criticism, negative attitude, etc. and how to clarify work requests and eliminate wasted effort.

Self-assessment surveys are used to better understand one’s communication tendencies as well as those of others. Real-life scenarios assist with the application process.
