More than 15,000 people have attended our program over the years. Several key changes have emerged since the inception of this special one-of-a-kind learning experience. And we have seen an increased participation from women and minorities. We have broadened our course offerings to address issues that challenge not just engineers, but other technical professionals as well.
In the early years, we selected instructors from a primarily academic pool, and have grown to a mixture of faculty members and industry practitioners. The early course topics were heavily oriented toward manufacturing, automation, and quality control; in recent years, we have placed more focus on subjects such as leadership, teamwork, and project management. The program also was 10 days in duration for the first 12 years, compared to the current 5-day version, a length more suitable to the business environment today.
Through these different changes, we have stood firmly by some cornerstones that renewed this program year after year. We continue to attract international participants just as we did in 1955. The mission to provide a forum for both new and seasoned technical managers remains a priority. The flexibility for personalized course selections by the participants continues to be a successful program format. But most importantly, we pride ourselves in carrying on the program founders’ vision of a quality program that inspires people to become better leaders.
We have valued the opportunity to serve numerous customers from across the United States and abroad for so many years. All of our progress is possible because of their participation. We are proud to have played a role in inspiring new leaders for more than half a century. We eagerly look forward to making a difference in our immediate and global communities for many years to come.
We invite you to join us on this unique and exciting journey.
