This course will provide a strong foundation in the process for residential and commercial kitchen design from conceptual drawings to design development and construction documents. Topics include layout, space and use adjacencies, applicable life safety codes, accessible and aging-in-place design, fixture, finish and equipment specifications, cabinetry design and function, artificial and natural daylight, sustainable design, and the impact of color and pattern.
